Where on Google Earth #501
WOGE 500 (http://flowbanded.blogspot.ca/2015/07/where-on-google-earth-v05k-woge-500.html) was not easy to find. But eventually I did, after many futile attempts to locate it.

ReplyDeleteGlacier's Triple Divide Peak (8020 ft/2446 m) is a rather rare hydrologic feature. From the summit, water flows to the Atlantic Ocean, the Pacific Ocean, and Hudson Bay.
It's a hydrological apex of the North American continent, where the Great and Laurentian divides meet at the summit of the peak. Thus, all water that falls at this point can flow to the Pacific, Atlantic, or Arctic oceans, making the locale one of the few places on the Earth whose waters feed three oceans.
This spot was on my radar, in the hidrology bookmarks, so .. it was easy :)
